The City of Jerusalem

The City of Jerusalem is a very old and important city in the world. It holds very significant value in Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. Although it has been a huge conflict zone, there have been many times in history where religious tolerance was upheld, like in early Islamic rule in the 7th century under a pact named "al-ʿUhda al-ʿUmariyya" and under the Ottoman Millet System during Ottoman rule from the 16th century to the 20th century.

There are many important religious and historical sites like Masjid al-Aqsa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, and Temple Mount, to name a few. The city has beautiful architecture that has stood for hundreds, even thousands, of years. There are beautiful minarets like the "al-Ghawanima Minaret," which was built in the 13th century, trefoil-shaped crypts of churches like the "Church of St. John the Baptist," and more.
